Cuckoo's Nest - Ideal for Families!

Cuckoos Nest is a family home and ideal for either a short get away or a longer stay.  We want you to enjoy your stay and hope we have equipped the house to ensure you do don't need to bring the kitchen sink!

As a mother of a young child I have ensured the house is safe, fun and well stocked for young children.  We can provide travel cots and highchairs.  There is a well-stocked children's toy box, night lights, baby monitors, stair gates.  In the kitchen you will find a steriliser, bottle warmer and a range of children's cutlery and plates.  There is also a blender to help with pureeing.

The Lower Mill Estate has been designed with children in mind. As well as use of the swimming pools at the Artspa, where children and families are welcome, there is a playground with a trampoline, a pets corner, a tennis court and nature trails.

A full-size tennis court is also provided for those more active moments.  When you have had enough, go and relax around the indoor or outdoor swimming pool.

For older children there is a Playstation 2 with a selection of games including "SIngstar" and "Buzz", a DVD player with a range of DVD suitable for all ages, and a selection of traditional family board-games.

If the children have iPods or MP3 players, they can plug them into the outlets in each of the rooms and listen to the music via the speakers in the ceiling.  Of course, you may prefer they just stick to their earphones....

Flip open the footstool and find a large number of books for reading.

For the older family, there is a huge range of things to do within the Cotswold Water Park.  Get them to try their hands at water-skiing or sailing.

Cotswold Wildlife Park is about half an hour's drive away with an interesting selection of animals and a miniature train ride

In and around Cirencester there are many things to occupy the minds and feet including a large soft-play area at Magic Land.

Bourton on the Water has a model village and separate model railway. 

For the animal lover, the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust site at Slimbridgeis within easy driving distance. 

Closer by is Butts Farm for families with petting areas and Keynes Country Park for walking and cycling.
